Description Dental Hygienist – Axiom Dentistry (Clayton) Axiom Dentistry in Knightdale, NC is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our supportive and friendly team. Schedule & Compensation • Monday–Thursday, 7:15am–4:30pm (1-hour lunch) • Occasional Fridays as needed • 32–36 hours per week • Competitive hourly pay with production bonus opportunities • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays • Scrubs provided What You’ll Do • Provide preventive and periodontal care including prophies, SRP, perio maintenance, local anesthesia, and nitrous (if certified) • Perform periodontal charting, radiographs, assessments, and co-diagnosis with the doctor • Maintain accurate digital charting and documentation • Educate patients on oral health, perio disease, and home care • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure excellent patient experiences • Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards Required Qualifications • Active North Carolina RDH license • Proficiency in periodontal care, assessments, and digital radiographs • Experience with dental software (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) • Strong communication and patient education skills • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time efficiently • Team-oriented with a positive attitude Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) • Experience with laser therapy, advanced perio care, or salivary diagnostics • Certification in nitrous oxide or laser dentistry • Experience with CBCT, digital scanning, or advanced imaging • Strong case acceptance and patient motivation skills If you are a compassionate, growth-minded hygienist looking for a stable, supportive practice, we’d love to consider you for our team.
