JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, excellent communication skills, punctual, reliable, strong integrity, professionalism, highly organized and detail-oriented in clinical work.. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RDH experience
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Commitment to ongoing education in infection control practices and advancements in dental hygiene techniques.
    Schedule
    Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    Potential to add an additional day in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical history reviews to determine oral health needs.
  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
  • Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to support the dentist during treatments.
  • Take and document vital signs as necessary, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
  • Utilize medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes and review documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures while demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care experiences and improve overall clinic efficiency.
