We are seeking a PERIO Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice working with Periodontist and Orthodontist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.

SKILLS

  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and address their concerns.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
  • Experience in pediatrics is beneficial for working with younger patients.
  • Background in dental assisting is advantageous for assisting during procedures.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge of orthodontics is a plus, aiding in comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Provide preventive care, including fluoride treatments and sealants.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix or similar software.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
