JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate Multi-Site Registered Dietitian to join our Higher Education team at Aramark. In this role, you will deliver impactful nutrition education, champion community health, and advance sustainability initiates across Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Toronto Scarborough, Fleming College, and Centennial Colleges.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is required
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Demonstrated credibility and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required
  • Certification in Advanced Food Safety is an asset
  • Experience providing education and/or training workshops for foodservice professionals is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; flexible to meet with shifting priorities
  • Superior interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with the students, faculty, clients and staff
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team to meet organizational objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, experience counselling clients and working with community members with allergies and other dietary needs
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and dedicated events as required
Responsibilities
  • Counsel students on healthy eating habits and monitor nutritional status to improve quality of life within the university community
  • Work with Chefs for menu planning to ensure all meals are well-balanced and cater to all dietary restrictions
  • Work with students to educate them on dining hall options to meet with their unique needs
  • Ensure digital menus and food labels are current and reflect accurate information for each meal
  • Work with our Marketing department to create wellness related social media content; assist with dining hall events and conduct regular dietitian tabling events
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure adherence to nutritional safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques pertaining to the needs of the age specific population as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns and preferences
  • Demonstrated accountability for the proper use of consultation protected health information
  • Provide support to the catering department for special diet clients and menus as required
  • Participate in the monthly Food Committee meetings and Sustainable Food Network
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain third party sustainability certifications and initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety Administrator to lead monthly Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee for the operation; conduct workplace inspections and assist with new employee orientations
