Job Details Job Location: KEENE, NH 03431 Salary Range: $42.00 - $46.00 Hourly Join our team as a Dietitian and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of children and young adults with complex medical needs. The Dietitian is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dietary program in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. This role provides comprehensive nutrition assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring each individual’s nutritional needs are met with care and expertise. The Dietitian collaborates closely with nursing, therapy, and dietary staff to promote optimal health outcomes and an exceptional dining experience. Primary Responsibilities Clinical Nutrition Oversight Provide ongoing oversight of residents’ dietary and nutritional needs in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with all state and federal dietary regulations. Conduct individualized dietary assessments and consultations as requested by the Director of Nursing Services or designee. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated care. Provide clear written documentation and evidence-based recommendations for residents’ nutritional care plans and departmental improvements. Review quarterly reports and update each resident’s dietary plan as needed. Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to address complex nutritional concerns. Menu Development & Nutritional Planning Develop and review menus in collaboration with the Dietary Manager. Plan menus that meet USDA school breakfast and lunch requirements. Review and approve all menu substitutions to ensure nutritional adequacy. Provide guidance in recipe development, standardization, and portion control. Quality & Compliance Assure the nutritional value, safety, and quality of all meals served to residents, day students, and staff. Collaborate with the Dietary Manager, Director of Nursing Services, and Occupational Therapist to meet specific dietary needs. Ensure all children’s meals meet their special dietary and medical requirements. Maintain accurate records of menus and nutritional documentation in compliance with established policies and procedures. Leadership & Collaboration Partner with the Dietary Manager to ensure efficient and safe kitchen operations. Review dietary intake and food production records for accuracy and compliance. Provide consultation on food safety, the HACCP Plan, and special dietary modifications. Conduct periodic reviews of dietary policies, procedures, and quality measures. Identify training needs and support the professional development of dietary staff. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field required. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required; registration-eligible candidates will be considered. Minimum of two years of clinical dietitian experience preferred. Previous experience as a dietitian in a healthcare or pediatric setting strongly preferred.
