Responsibilities as Registered Dietician:

  • Assist the food services staff in the development and use of departmental procedures governing food service activities, equipment, supplies etc.
  • Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal survey and provide written copy of such plan to the Administrator for approval
  • Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Services Department
  • Review dietary requirements and/or restrictions of admitted patients in accordance with attending physician’s diet plans
  • Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the food services portion of the resident’s discharge plan
  • Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and planning regular and specialized diets as prescribed by attending physician

QUALIFICATIONS FOR REGISTERED DIETICIAN:

  • Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Active current registered Dietician required.
  • 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Expertise in clinical nutrition, preferably geriatric rehab care practices in a skilled nursing setting.
  • Possess knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulatory statues and guidelines pertaining to healthcare in the skilled nursing setting.
