About FitMate Coach FitMate Coach is a telehealth nutrition coaching platform that combines AI-powered meal analysis with clinical nutrition services. We're expanding into insurance-based Medical Nutrition Therapy and looking for an RD to lead that clinical arm. The Role You'll provide 1-on-1 MNT to patients with obesity, prediabetes, diabetes, and cardiovascular risk factors via telehealth. You'll bill directly through our credentialed medical group under UnitedHealthcare and Medicare. What You'll Do Conduct initial MNT assessments (60 min) and follow-up sessions (45 min) via HIPAA-compliant telehealth Develop individualized nutrition care plans emphasizing satiety, protein, and fiber optimization Document visits with appropriate ICD-10 and CPT coding for insurance billing Collaborate with referring physicians and our NP on shared patients Support patients between visits using FitMate's meal tracking and coaching platform Maintain clinical documentation standards for audit readiness What We're Looking For Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential, current and in good standing Licensed in California (or eligible for licensure) Individual NPI number (or willingness to obtain one immediately) CAQH ProView profile completed (or willingness to complete within 2 weeks of offer) Experience with MNT for obesity, diabetes, or cardiometabolic conditions Comfortable with telehealth delivery and asynchronous patient communication Nice to Have Existing UHC or Medicare credentialing (significantly accelerates start date) CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) Experience with GLP-1 medication support or bariatric nutrition Familiarity with insurance billing and MNT documentation requirements preferred Compensation & Structure Contract with flexible scheduling Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience We handle all credentialing, billing, and collections — you focus on patient care Opportunity to grow into clinical lead as we scale
