OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator and a committed, energetic, and organized Assistant Supervisor (ECE) to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
The Assistant Supervisor will work closely with the Centre Supervisor and team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on work in the classroom, making it ideal for someone looking to grow their career in early childhood education.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote learning through play.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and respected.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their progress.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and support each child’s learning journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Support the Centre Supervisor in the day-to-day management of the centre
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
  • Provide mentorship and support to educators
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Assist with planning and implementing curriculum and activities
  • Step into classrooms when needed to maintain ratios and support staff
  • Help maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Promote and model a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace culture
