POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator along with a motivated, organized Assistant Supervisor (ECE) to become a part of our leadership team. These roles are key to supporting a caring and engaging environment that nurtures each child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and capable of delivering creative, developmentally appropriate programming.
The Assistant Supervisor role is ideal for an ECE professional looking to take the next step in their career. This position involves both leadership duties and active participation in the classroom to ensure smooth daily operations in collaboration with the Centre Supervisor and team.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • In-depth knowledge of child development and early learning frameworks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members
  • Ability to develop and lead engaging lessons tailored to different learning needs
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children

  • Creative approach to teaching and problem-solving
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences that emphasize play-based learning
  • Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom space where children feel secure and supported
  • Monitor children’s development and provide regular updates to families
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive peer relationships in children
  • Work collaboratively with other educators to support holistic learning and classroom harmony
  • Keep accurate records including attendance, daily reports, and developmental observations
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families through ongoing communication
  • Assist with the smooth operation of the centre alongside the Supervisor
  • Help ensure all licensing, health, and safety standards are met consistently
  • Mentor and support educators, promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Contribute to planning and evaluating classroom programs and activities
  • Provide classroom coverage when necessary to maintain ratios
  • Help uphold documentation standards and reporting
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for staff and families
