Position: Frontenac Club Day Care is looking for:
Supply Teacher. Registered Early Childhood Educator preferred; all applicants will be considered
Age Group: Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers (6 months - 4 years)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Early Childhood Educator Supply Teacher is responsible for supervising and caring for children in a manner that is consistent with Frontenac Club Day Cares Program Statement and policies and procedures. The philosophy of the Frontenac Club Day Care is based on the assumption that each child is competent, capable of complex thinking, unique and special. Each child should be permitted to develop to his/her potential in all areas of growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator preferred; all applicants will be considered.
  • ECE’s must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early

Childhood Educators

  • Must provide a recent Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must have current immunizations record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to work as an individual and part of a team
  • Must be flexible
  • Knowledge of Child Care Early Years Act
  • Have time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work with people with special needs, cultural and language backgrounds
  • Be honest, respectful and trustworthy

Responsibilities
  • Deliver, guide and assist the children in daily planned activities
  • Provide continuous and attentive supervision of children indoor and outdoor play and during rest periods.
  • Complete daily logs
  • To work cooperatively as a team member with co-workers
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain childcare equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to licensing requirements and program policies and procedures
  • Assist with children’s meals and snacks and being aware of any allergies.
