JOB SUMMARY

Great Lakes Christian Preschool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ECE to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing young children a nurturing and educational environment. This position requires individuals who are passionate about childcare and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as we value diversity in our learning environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standard First Aid & Level C CPR Certificate
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (in the last 6 months)
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and/or former experience
  • working with young children
  • Flexible to change in work assignments depending on the needs of the
  • program
  • Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Working with preschool aged children (2 1/2 to 5 years)
  • Engage children through play, interactions, and creative experiences
  • Support teacher plans and implement age-appropriate activities that follow
  • ‘How Does Learning Happen’ framework
  • Communicate and work co-operatively with staff members
  • Maintain documentation (daily written log, arrival and departures of children)
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and maintain confidentiality
