JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to engage with children effectively. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are highly encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Experience working in childcare in Canada
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening (clear)
  • Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in childcare best practices
  • Flexible to work with different age groups (infants, toddlers, preschool, school age)
  • Flexible to travel daily to different centres across Toronto
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable

    Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including those of children with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and other documentation as required.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
