OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to engage with children effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and respect among students and peers.

  • This is a split shift position - working in a Before & After School Program. We offer an additional $1.00/hour for split shift hours.

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the How Does Learning Happen document
  • Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Assess and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.
  • Maintain organized classroom records, including attendance and developmental assessments.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
