Description
Bring your passion for discovery to a team that loves to spark the joy of discovery. We are looking for a Registered Teacher to join our warm and energetic team in Timaru. This is a chance to work in an environment where intentional teaching and inquiry are at the heart of every day. About us: At Busy Bees Aoraki, every day is driven by curiosity and the joy of discovery. We embrace a Reggio inspired philosophy where intentional teaching and inquiry based learning allow tamariki to explore their "wonderings" in a rich environment filled with natural resources. Our centre is a place of aroha and laughter, where strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do and every child is cherished as a unique taonga. We are proud to hold the Pā Harakeke Tohu Manawa Ora Healthy Heart Award and to offer the MOVE programme, which helps children build resilience and physical skills through fulfilling play. We are proud to be part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa network, which allows our team to enjoy the best of both worlds: the warmth of a tight knit local centre backed by the professional security and global expertise of a leading national provider. The Mahi | You will be an essential part of the team, making sure every day is full of discovery and meaningful moments for our tamariki. Your focus will be on: Using Te Whāriki as your base to plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child. Capturing and sharing high-quality assessments, ensuring each child's unique progress is celebrated with their families. Creating a supportive and equitable atmosphere where relationships and a sense of belonging are prioritised. Building effective, positive relationships with the whole team and providing a warm, guiding hand for students and helpers. Maintaining a beautiful and safe environment where the physical care and safety of all tamariki are held to the highest standard. About You | To be successful in this role, you will bring: A recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration. A Gift for Connection: Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable nature that makes people feel truly at home. A Proactive Spirit: The initiative to continually look for improvements and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical. Pedagogical Passion: A deep commitment to Te Whāriki and an interest in innovating with core philosophies like Reggio Emilia. Technical Ease: Confidence using the digital tools that help us document learning and stay connected with our community. Why you’ll love it here: We provide Full Pay Parity for our Registered Teachers to ensure your expertise is fairly rewarded. Access a generous PLD budget to support your ongoing learning and career development. Enjoy monthly wellbeing initiatives, EAP access, and covered costs for your annual flu vax and First Aid certification. To make your workday easier, we offer discounted childcare fees and provided staff uniforms. If you are ready to join a team that values your heart, your skills, and the joy of discovery, we would love to hear from you. Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa We are an Accredited Employer Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be.
