NZ - Registered Teacher Busy Bees Roscommon Road is a place where tamariki see their languages, celebrations and whānau reflected back to them every day. We are looking for a Registered Teacher, 25 hours per week, to join our team in creating culture rich, relationship-based learning for our Honey Pots, Little Bears and Polar Bears. About us: Busy Bees Roscommon Road is a diverse, relaxed centre with a team who lean into culture, conversation and relationship based teaching. Te taiao hei kaiako tuatoru guides how we set up spaces, so rooms actually support child-led play, group work and small moments of one-to-one connection. You would be working across Honey Pots, Little Bears and Polar Bears with colleagues who bring Diwali, Matariki and many other celebrations into the programme, use food and baking as rich learning experiences, and see kai, community and curriculum as linked. The team talk about practice, listen to children’s ideas, and use trips, the centre van and regular school visits as part of everyday learning. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you get the backing, PLD and systems of a larger organisation while Roscommon keeps its own personality and way of doing things. About You: You are a registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako who is curious about people and passionate about culture rich, relationship based teaching. You enjoy working in a multicultural community and are confident partnering with whānau to bring their language, stories and celebrations into the room. You see the environment as a key teaching tool and know how to set up experiences that invite tamariki to explore together and share their ideas. You are comfortable planning and documenting through Te Whāriki, supporting school readiness and working across different age groups. You communicate clearly, enjoy collaboration and like being in a team where sharing practice and trying new ideas is part of the everyday. Responsibilities
The Registered Teacher will create culture-rich, relationship-based learning experiences for children across different age groups. They will work collaboratively with colleagues to incorporate cultural celebrations and community connections into the educational program.
