Description
NZ - Registered Teacher Where curiosity has room to breathe, and tamariki are met with aroha. Do you love the spark in a child’s eyes when an idea lands? At House of Wonder Chartwell, we follow those sparks. We listen, we slow down, we notice. Our days are woven from small wonders and nurturing care, guided by Te Whāriki and animated by play. About us: House of Wonder Chartwell is part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, a nationwide whānau that backs its people to grow. Here, every child is a taonga and every kaiako is supported with real resources, mentoring, and PLD. We are Reggio Emilia inspired. Natural light, open-ended materials, and a calm environment invite exploration and collaboration. Kaiako walk alongside tamariki as facilitators, helping ideas grow from hands and hearts into language, drawings, structures, and stories. We step outside often for bush walks that ground us in Papatūānuku, and we visit the library to nourish early literacy and community connection. Strong partnerships with whānau hold it all together. About you: You bring current ECE or Primary NZ teacher registration, a warm, steady presence, and energy for the joyful work of early learning. You are confident with planning and assessment. You notice the quiet moments as much as the big milestones. You communicate clearly, build strong relationships, and are committed to responsive, culturally inclusive practice The work: Create thoughtful provocations. Hold space for collaboration. Contribute to learning stories and kaupapa that reflect each child’s voice. Keep safety and wellbeing close. Partner with whānau so every learner feels seen and supported. Why you'll love it here: Full Pay Parity! Monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services Induction, mentoring and meaningful PLD opportunities Discounted childcare First Aid certification and annual flu vaccination Ongoing opportunities for career growth & personal and professional development Take advantage of this opportunity and send through your CV and Cover Letter today! Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid work visa. We are an Accredited Employer Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart. We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire. Join our whānau If you’re looking for a new centre to call home, Busy Bees Aotearoa may be the perfect fit for you! Early Childhood Education attracts a special type of person. You might be known for being creative, nurturing or task focused… but ultimately, you were attracted to Early Childhood Education because you care deeply for the education of the littlest members of our communities. We understand this because this is what attracted us too. We want to gather people who care deeply about quality and empower people to bring their unique gifts and talents together for the benefit of our tamariki. We value each member of our team, and know that by supporting you in your journey, you’ll be the positive and supportive influence in theirs. Across the variety of our centres and Support Office we’re looking for passionate, dedicated, and committed people who love what they do.
