ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • The successful candidate will be a Registered General Nurse with a current PIN and registered with the NMC.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Care regulations and legislation including Health & Safety and Adult Safeguarding.
  • Experience of working in a care setting, care planning and implementation ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care qualification is desirable.
  • Competent IT skills with the ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Undertaking the assessment of complex nursing needs in accordance with policies and procedures, with the involvement of other professionals and families as appropriate.
  • Administering medication including medication administered by injection and pain relief and undertaking medical procedures as appropriate including catheter care, venepuncture, wound care, syringe driver care.
  • Supporting the delivery of services including palliative care to the terminally ill.
