ABOUT YOU

Registered Children’s Home Manager
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Manager to help us develop and manage a new 3-bed children’s home. The Farmhouse is situated on our idyllic farm, located just outside Chester Lee Street. The role will involve developing a dedicated, caring and innovative team of residential care workers to provide care and support for 3 children with complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Qualifications
· A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management Children & Young People qualification, or be in a position to be enrolled and working towards completion of the award
. Energy, positivity, and a great sense of fun
. Commitment to trauma-informed practice and the PACE model of parenting
. Determination, passion, and resilience

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

· Ideally, a minimum of 2 years’ experience as the Registered Manager of a Residential Children’s Home
· Experience working with children with autism, learning difficulties, as well as challenging behaviour
· A solid background of running/helping to run a successful service
· Experience in line managing a team
· Good knowledge of Ofsted, Health and Safety, and associated legislation relating to the care and support of children

Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day running of the Home whilst providing professional support, guidance, and supervision to the staff team
· Working within a multi-agency framework, including parents and families of the children and young people
· Maintain high care standards
· Ensuring the Statement of Purpose is appropriate to the needs of young people
· Meet Ofsted standards as well as striving to exceed them
· Ensure effective financial budget control, in addition to administration records, which comply with company expectations and procedures
· Go above and beyond to ensure all children have a positive and caring experience of childhood that they can reflect on and carry with them into adulthood
· Taking the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements, in addition to taking a proactive role in securing improvements in the quality of services
· Implement all company policies and procedures, along with ensuring staff understand and follow them
· Participate in recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, health and safety, as well as other staffing matters, with support from our HR Department
· Staff training and development to be identified and met.
· Assist in training staff as required.
