SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a health and social care setting (inpatient or community).
  • Experience managing complex and crisis cases, supported living, or step-down services.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, risk management, and person-centered planning.
  • Confident with digital care records and EMAR.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and role-model leadership skills.
  • Calm under pressure, with excellent organisation and follow-through.

Values:

  • Compassionate, trauma-informed, dignity and rights-focused.

Other:

  • UK driving license desirable; ability to travel for community visits as required.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a confident and accountable Registered Manager to take responsibility for the quality, safety, and growth of our service.
You’ll be the CQC-registered lead, setting the standard for safe, compassionate, and innovative care. You will drive compliance, inspire your staff, and ensure that the people we support consistently receive the best outcomes.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on responsibility, is comfortable under pressure, and wants to make a meaningful difference at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Management:

  • Take full responsibility as CQC Registered Manager for service compliance and quality.
  • Lead a culture of kindness, accountability, and continuous improvement across the service.
  • Ensure safe day-to-day operations, including oversight of staffing, rotas, and resources.

Quality & Governance:

  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, and best practice standards.
  • Lead audits, spot checks, action plans, and regulatory reporting.
  • Drive improvement projects aligned with inspection frameworks.
  • Ensure assessments, risk management plans, and care plans are robust, person-centred, and regularly reviewed.
  • Oversee crisis management, PBS strategies, and safeguarding outcomes.
  • Embed trauma-informed practice and positive risk-taking in care delivery.

Safeguarding & Safety:

  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service.
  • Ensure robust incident management, lessons learned processes, and adherence to governance frameworks.

People Leadership:

  • Line manage and support Deputy Managers, seniors, and wider staff teams.
  • Lead supervision, appraisals, and professional development.
  • Maintain a motivated, resilient, and skilled workforce.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build trusted relationships with commissioners, health and social care partners, families, and community networks.
  • Lead MDT engagement, planning, and review meetings.

Service Development & Growth:

  • Mobilise new packages, support tender processes, and drive service expansion.
  • Champion digital care systems and innovation in practice.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs including outcomes, incidents, visit compliance, and service quality.
