REGISTERED MANAGER CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL FULL TIME

We offer high quality residential care and education for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, SEBD and complex needs associated with challenging behavior. We are looking for enthusiastic and proven managers to join us in taking our development to the next level.
We are a 3 bedded Children’s home where our aim is to support the children’s and create a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities
  • The general leadership and management of the home itself, it’s team of staff and young people and recruitment of new staff
  • All aspects of the day to day management of the house and its programmes and activities, ensuring that it operates in a smooth, effective and efficient manner
  • Delegating and rotating daily tasks and responsibility to members of his/her team in a fair and consistent manner
  • Modelling high standards of professional courtesy, communication, report writing, dealing with issues and conflict resolution
  • Preparing the agenda for meetings
  • Training new staff in care staff procedures and routines
  • ​Attending management meetings as and when required
  • Completing data collection reports
  • Ensuring that Children and Young People’s case files are kept up to date and compliant in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • The control and distribution of house finances by keeping accurate and up to date financial records
  • ​Preparing financial reports for the Operations Manager and Financial Accountant.
  • Ensuring that the results from all reviews are recorded on a child’s file by a named member of staff.
  • Furthermore, that all professional records, including staff files, are kept in good order, filed securely and are up to date
  • Completing the staff rota and in ensuring that there is sufficient cover in place for the needs of the home
  • Recording and monitoring holiday requests to ensure that all shifts can be covered and are adequately staffed by competent workers
  • Ensure storage and practice around administration is managed in compliance with GDPR
  • To lead and manage one of our registered homes to provide an emotionally secure, consistent, supportive and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, physical, emotional intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential.
