Are you passionate about transforming young lives and leading with purpose?
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to take the reins of a children’s residential home, ensuring it is a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place for young people to thrive.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you’ll hold day-to-day responsibility for the home – creating an environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. You’ll be a champion for young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
You’ll lead and inspire a dedicated team, manage all aspects of the home’s operations, and work closely with external professionals and agencies to deliver outstanding care. Safeguarding, compliance, and quality will sit at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the staff team to deliver high standards of care.
  • Ensure the home is safe, welcoming, and meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Champion the rights and wellbeing of children, making sure their voices influence care planning and daily life.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partner agencies and families to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and ensure effective record-keeping.
  • Drive continuous improvement with a clear focus on achieving Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.

About You
You’re an experienced leader in children’s residential care who is both resilient and compassionate. You have a strong understanding of safeguarding, regulations, and the challenges facing young people with diverse needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ management / deputy experience in a children’s residential setting (within the last 5 years).
  • Preference: Experience working with children with learning disabilities (LD),
  • At least 1 year of staff supervision/line management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and the Ofsted inspection framework.
  • A relevant Level 5 qualification (or willingness to achieve this within 3 years).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
