ABOUT US:

Sanctuary Personnel is proud to be working on behalf of a highly respected children’s residential provider to recruit a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new residential home in Twyford, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a new provision from pre-registration stage, shaping the ethos, structure, and standards of care from day one. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
  • At least 1 year in a management or leadership role within a similar environment
  • In-depth knowledge of EBD and an understanding of associated behavioural needs
  • A proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Strong experience handling safeguarding matters and complex care cases
  • Excellent working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Ofsted registration process, ensuring the home is compliant from inception
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment tailored to the needs of children with EBD
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a skilled and compassionate care team
  • Develop personalised care plans in line with therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
  • Uphold full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, promoting a robust safeguarding culture
  • Build effective relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and families
  • Take responsibility for inspections, audits, and regulatory engagement
  • Provide inspirational leadership and maintain a high-performing team culture
  • Manage home budgets, occupancy levels, and resources efficiently
