Broadland View Residential Home is a high-quality residential service situated in on the outskirts of Norwich. The small service of 24 residents prides itself on providing excellent person centred care and support in a warm and friendly environment for people with living with dementia.
We are currently seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to join our wonderful team at Broadland View Residential Home. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their management experience and skills.
Qualifications and experience
We are looking for an individual with a relevant Health & Social Care qualification (RMA/NVQ Level 5 or above) with experience in leadership and management in a Health and Social Care setting. Preferably with a sound recent background in residential elderly care. Applications are invited from individuals with strong organisational and time management skills; the ability to communicate effectively and coherently, both verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and a sound understanding of good care principles. We are also looking for an individual with drive, commitment and ambition to assist us to continually develop and enhance the quality of the care and support we provide.
Roles and responsibilities
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the care home, leading a team of care professionals, with a shared passion and commitment for delivering the highest standards of care to our residents. Further, the job-holder will form strong relationships with staff, residents and their families and therefore their presence in the home will be pivotal to its success.
Ideally, applicants will have: Successfully completed an NVQ 5 or above diploma in Care; a strong background in elderly care (within a care home environment); managerial experience, including being conversant with CQC regulations; excellent communication & interpersonal skills; and a passion for providing high quality care.
You will be required to:
· Ensure the delivery of quality care at all times - continually assessing our residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
· Positively influence the reputation of the home – communicating professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and other external stakeholders.
· Play an active role in ensuring compliance within the home – managing the implementation of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
· Maintain service excellence, acting as role models high standards of care and support, ensuring legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines are followed.
· Take on an active leadership role – you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business.
· Developing your team – oversee the induction of all new employees, supervise and support all staff within the team and participate in the training development of the team.
· People management – play an active part in the recruitment, assessment and supervision of the team.
Remuneration & Working hours for Registered Manager: 42 hours
Salary: Between 40000-45000 DOE
Working Hours: This is a full-time role (42 hours per week). Shift patterns are subject to change, according to the needs of the care home and the registered manager may be required to work additional hours and/or weekends, when requested.
Pension: Company pension
Annual holiday entitlement: 5.2 weeks inclusive of bank holidays (28 full time days).
