Registered Manager- Children’s Home - Hindley
Hebron Houseis a provider of Children’s Residential Therapeutic Services regulated by Ofsted. We support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild to moderate Learning Difficulties. We are looking for a Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager who feels they are ready for the next step to come and join us in our new solo home in Hindley. As a Registered Manager, your general duties will include

  • To lead and manage the Children’s Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the Home.
  • To provide high quality care that supports the needs of the young people, to be an advocate for their well-being.
  • To develop and implement care plans to support the the individuals needs
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures of Hebron House are carried out within the home
  • To lead regulatory inspections, ensuring care, education and health services are of high-quality and evidenced during inspection
  • To support staff to achieve the highest standards of care to our young people
  • Promote good practice in a therapeutic environment

People Management

  • Drive and oversee staff development, training, supervision and appraisals
  • Provide strong, motivation and supportive leadership to the staff team
  • Complete the regular supervisions for staff
  • Responsible for staff structures, rotas and annual leave within the home
  • Responsible for completing induction training for staff in the home

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A level 5 diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (Leadership and Management) or be prepared to complete this
  • At least two years of experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • At least two years of experience in working with children with EBD in registered children’s homes.
  • A good understanding of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including the Children Act 1989, the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Ofsted inspection framework.
  • A driving licence
