To drive this vision forward, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee and enhance the day-to-day operations of our home care services. In this role, you will lead a dedicated and collaborative team, committed to continuous improvement and service excellence, with a clear focus on expanding our branch and impact.

EXPERIENCE

· Comprehensive knowledge of CQC regulations, Health and Social Care Act, and safeguarding procedures.
· Experience with CQC inspections and leading a care facility to a high standard
· Ability to manage budgets and financial processes effectively.
· Knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable people, those with dementia, and other vulnerable groups.
· Ability to manage and develop a team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
· Knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and manual handling procedures, is desirable

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ·Lead and manage daily operations of the care service, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and support a team of care staff, including lead care coordinators, coordinators senior carers, and healthcare assistants.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Health and Social Care Act, Safeguarding, CQC regulations, and local authority standards.
  • Prepare for and lead the service through regulatory inspections, ensuring the service consistently meets or exceeds CQC ratings (Good or Outstanding).
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess the quality of care and operational procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment and training to ensure employees are qualified, skilled, and motivated to provide high-quality care.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment that promotes staff wellbeing and retention.
  • Manage the budget for the care service, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Oversee and ensure that residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met through person-centred care plans
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the service, identifying areas for improvement and innovation in care delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the health and social care sector.
    The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THIS ROLE:

Qualification(s)
· Registered Manager Status with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or willingness to obtain it.
· NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
· Proven experience in a managerial role within a care setting, ideally in a similar care environment.
