REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within children’s residential care
  • Strong understanding of learning disabilities, autism, and trauma-informed practice
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage compliance, and deliver person-centred care
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and safeguarding skills
  • Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential service in Harrow, supporting young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape the culture, ensure regulatory excellence, and drive positive outcomes for the children in our care.
You’ll be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and therapeutic best practice. You’ll lead a committed team, foster a nurturing environment, and champion the rights and development of every child.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home
  • Ensure the service meets all Ofsted and safeguarding requirements
  • Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, promoting a positive and professional culture
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of care
