JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead our care home, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, particularly in assisted living and nursing home environments. This role requires a compassionate leader who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, including individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a managerial role within an care home or nursing home setting.
• Qualifications in nursing, or a Level 5 NVQ is highly desirable.
• Strong background in nursing or senior care, with specific knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively.
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet individual resident needs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements for care homes.
• A compassionate approach to caregiving, with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life.

• Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with CQC regulatory standards, local authority standards and best practices.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
• Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive working environment that encourages professional development.
• Manage medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Ensure audits are completed according to the schedule provided.
• Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care solutions.
• Lead staff training sessions on dementia care, senior care practices, and other relevant topics.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager and Provider to ensure smooth operation of the Home.
• Maintain accurate records of resident progress and any incidents that occur within the facility.
