Job Title: Registered Manager (Ofsted)
Location: Chorley, Manchester
Service Users: Children (7 to 18 years) with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
Work Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Annual Leave: 6 weeks per year, plus statutory bank holidays
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DOE + up to £5,000 in bonuses
Sponsorship: Not available
Note: Individuals with only CQC experience who have not worked in an Ofsted-registered children’s home will not be considered.

YOUR ROLE

As a Registered Manager , you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people with EBD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Provide strong leadership, developing and supporting a compassionate and resilient staff team.
  • Implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Clinical Psychologists.
  • Promote therapeutic practices to support young people in achieving positive outcomes.
  • Conduct audits, including Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 reports.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Facilitate recruitment, training, and development of staff.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a role model, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional care.
  • Ensure the home remains compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative and effective care strategies.
  • Provide supervision, support, and appraisals for staff members.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
