REGISTERED MANAGER – THERAPEUTIC CHILDREN’S HOME – UP TO £55,000

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic children’s home, providing outstanding care and support to children and young people with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to make a real difference in improving outcomes for children while ensuring the home is compliant with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.

  • Able to ensure high standards of record keeping, compliance, and quality assurance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership/management role within residential childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the home, including participation in on-call duties
Responsibilities

As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the residential home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)
  • Ensuring the home is always “Ofsted ready” and delivering services that are safe, compliant, and child-centred
  • Managing and developing staff teams, including recruitment, supervision, training, and appraisals
  • Creating a culture where children and young people feel safe, listened to, and empowered
  • Overseeing safeguarding practices, risk management, and quality assurance processes
  • Working collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, schools, and partner agencies to deliver individual care plans
  • Ensuring young people have access to education, therapeutic support, and meaningful activities
  • Promoting equality, participation, and positive outcomes for every child in your care
