JOB KNOWLEDGE

Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary job knowledge, has necessary technical skills, understands company mission/values, keeps job knowledge current, is in command of critical issues.

1. Assesses clients’ soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
2. Confers with clients about their medical histories and any problems with stress and/or pain in order to determine whether massage would be helpful.
3. Develops and proposes client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.
4. Massages and kneads the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide courses of treatment for medical conditions and injuries or wellness maintenance.
5. Prepares and blend oils, and apply the blends to clients’ skin.
6. Consults with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists in order to develop treatment plans for clients.
7. Maintains treatment records.
8. Provides clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement, and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises
9. Refers clients to other types of therapists when necessary.
10. Models the brand, values, and lifestyle and maintains a professional image at all times; sets high standards for self based upon competency model; builds an effective network within the company, across all clinics, and in local markets.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
