Join our team-based model of care delivered in a kind and compassionate manner.   We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Stamford, CT   Position Summary: The Medical Assistant is a member of the patient centered medical home (PCMH) care team responsible for working with providers, nurses, and other front office staff to ensure the complete and timely patient flow process. This individual exhibits sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population and must maintain strict confidentiality.  The Medical Assistant administers health questionnaire to patients;  Act as a chaperone by accompanying the clinician in the exam room for any intimate exam; Update patient information in Epic (EMR system); Manage in-basket messages; Takes patient history & vital signs;  Prepares patients for exam & treatment;  Prepares exam rooms w/ necessary equipment & supplies; Assists with scheduling of tests & treatments;  Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, and confidentiality and privacy policies; Maintain competency in the use of clinical equipment and procedure; Connect language interpretation service for the clinician when needed; Assists with administrative tasks as needed; Explores community resources available to meet the patient’s needs; Maintain ongoing networking efforts w/community providers in the area; Perform other related duties as needed.    Job Qualification/Requirements: Professional positive attitude, vision, understanding of customer service principals, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills to successfully accomplish tasks necessary to meet high standards of ethical and social responsibility required by this position.   Education:   Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program and/or CNA or PCT program  Experience:   Experience in a clinical setting, preferred  Familiarity working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) helpful.
