Job Details Job Location: Dumfries, VA 22026 Position Type: Full-time Job Shift: Any/Multiple Job Category: Direct Care Job Summary: Registered Medication Aides provide accurate medication administration and quality care to clients and maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed registered nurse. Responsibilities include: Prepping and administering client specific routine and PRN medications as directed. Verifying the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the Medication Administration Record (MAR). Documenting interventions, vital signs, or other data related to medication administration. Maintaining confidentiality of clients. Reporting to the supervising nurse with any client issues or concerns. Assisting clients with activities of daily life (ADLs), as needed. Performing all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS High School Diploma or equivalent. Registered with the Board of Virginia as a Medication Aide. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 6 months of experience in a registered medication aide role. Mental health and residential substance use disorder program experience preferred KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to work independently and with a team. Mainspring Recovery conducts as needed, job-related background checks, fingerprints, drug testing, TB testing, verification of employment history and/or reference checks prior to employment.
