Registered Midwife, Home Based Palliative Care Department Home Health Programme Entity Aga Khan University Hospital Location Karachi, Pakistan Introduction Aga Khan University (AKU) was chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university. Its Faculty of Health Sciences was planned with the support of Harvard University, McGill University and McMaster University, and presently includes a Medical College and a School of Nursing, which are located together with their principal teaching site, the Aga Khan University Hospital, on an 84-acre campus in Karachi, Pakistan. AKU invites applications for the position of Registered Midwife for Home Based Midwifery. Responsibilities You will be responsible to: provide safe, competent, individualized nursing care at patient's home impart patient / family education Communicate effectively with all health team members, patients and their families and ensure their satisfied response. Requirements You should have: a Diploma in Midwifery from an accredited school of Nursing & Midwifery with at least 1-2 years’ experience valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council competence to plan and deliver care to patients with a variety of complex care needs good communication and interpersonal skills willingness to work in shift duties.
Responsibilities
The Registered Midwife will be responsible for providing safe, competent, and individualized nursing care to patients within their homes. This role also involves imparting necessary education to both the patient and their family.
