Registered Midwife Entity Aga Khan University Hospital Location Karachi, Pakistan Introduction Aga Khan University (AKU) was chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university. Its Faculty of Health Sciences was planned with the support of Harvard University, McGill University and McMaster University, and presently includes a Medical College and a School of Nursing, which are located together with their principal teaching site, the Aga Khan University Hospital, on an 84-acre campus in Karachi, Pakistan. AKU invites applications for the position of Registered Midwife, Inpatient Areas. Responsibilities You will be responsible to: provide safe, competent, individualized nursing care to patients with care needs ranging from basic to complex impart patient / family education plan health teaching sessions for patients / families according to their learning need assessment. Requirements You should have: a Diploma in Midwifery from an accredited school of Nursing & Midwifery 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council competence to plan and deliver care to patients with a variety of complex care needs good communication and interpersonal skills willingness to work in shift duties.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and individualized nursing care to patients with basic to complex needs. Conduct patient and family education and health teaching sessions based on learning assessments.
