MIDWIFERY GROUP PRACTICE
MGP is a well-established model of maternity care that provides continuity of care from a ‘known’ midwife, in an on-call capacity, during pregnancy, labour and birth, and during the early parenting period to birthing women/people and their families.
We offer a range of birthing options including hospital birth, waterbirth and homebirth. We prioritise care for those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, may be young, planning a vaginal birth after caesarean, motivated for a physiological birth, living with a disability, seeking refuge, have a history of trauma or perinatal loss or experiencing social or mental health concerns.
Your unique skills are important to us. You will have the autonomy to create a balanced caseload that allows you a full scope of midwifery or to specialise in your practice.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our friendly, multi-disciplinary collaborative team and reignite your passion for midwifery at Western Health. We are seeking passionate Midwives to join our dynamic Maternity Services team, known for its strong midwifery culture and supportive environment.
We are now able to offer employment working in low-risk, all-risk or Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander (Galinjera) teams with the option of providing homebirth services.
Western Health is offering sponsorship to internationally qualified Midwives who are looking to move to Melbourne, Australia.
