About The Role: The Midwife shall assume responsibility for the planning and delivering of holistic patient care for the patients assigned to them. This position is specific to the Birth Suite. Takes responsibility for arranging for his/her roster, ensuring study days and debriefing sessions are noted and included The Midwife shall assume responsibility for the evaluation and documentation of the assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of nursing care for the patients assigned to them. Responsible to the Nurse Unit Manager for the provision of optimal patient care. Promotes a pro-active approach to communication and seeks assistance as necessary. Work as part of a team in accordance with agreed performance measures. About You: Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery Current AHPRA registration. Minimum 2 years’ experience across the Midwifery scope of practice. Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with multidisciplinary team members. One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway. The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
