Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary: The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations on patients in a safe and accurate manner. This role ensures patient safety, optimal image quality, and compliance with all regulatory and departmental standards while collaborating with radiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and care. Essential Functions: 1. Conducts requested testing in the MRI department per the physician’s orders. 2. Obtains patient’s clinical history before beginning any exam with proper documentation within the EHR and/or PACS system.  3. Demonstrates competency in MRI zone safety, patient/staff screening, medical implant/device safety and screening, infection control, contrast administration, quality assurance, and equipment quality checks. 4. Monitor patients throughout imaging examinations and/or procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs and/or emergencies.  5. Evaluates imaging for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist. 6. Inspires confidence from patients, visitors and families by performing and communicating in a professional manner at all times. 7. Respects the confidentiality of patient orders and records; uses discretion in discussion of patient health. 8. Demonstrates concern for cleanliness and infection control by practicing universal controls. 9. Must be available for call coverage, rotating shifts and disaster call back. The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital's goals and objectives.   Position Requirements: * High School Graduate or equivalent * Completion of a formal radiologic technology or MRI training program in an approved school. * Preferred American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) registration * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Can be obtained within 30 days of start date or recertification can be obtained within 30 days of expiration. * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Can be obtained within 30 days of start date or recertification can be obtained within 30 days of expiration. Hours: Monday- Friday 1130am- 8pm Pay Range: Pay ranges from $24.556/hour to $39.290/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)     Horizon Health is committed to caring not only for our patients, but for our staff as well.
