Registered Nurse | Pinangba | Star of the Sea Aged Care Facility | Thursday Island

  • Employment Term: Permanent full-time
  • Location: Star of the Sea Aged Care Facility, Thursday Island
  • Remuneration: $43.03 - $54.46 + Super (Dependant on experience)+ Salary Packaging of up to $15,900 (increases your take home pay) + Penalties & Allowances
  • Sign on and retention bonuses of up to $29,500 over 24 months (Please Note: Retention Payments are only available to those RNs who remain on in a Permanent Full Time capacity)
  • Additional Benefits: Subsidised accommodation may be available on request plus up to $5,000 relocation allowance for candidates who need to relocate to Thursday Island

Pinangba service is inviting applications from experienced facility managers to join our Star of the Sea Elders Village on Thursday Island.

As a Registered Nurse provide person-centred care to your residents, ensuring a safe environment within the facility and applying your clinical skills to improving their quality of life through activities that include:

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members

What makes a difference for us?

  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
  • General nursing experience, post-registration (Aged Care experience highly desirable)
  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements
  • Previous exposure to remote and rural setting advantageous
