Develop in conjunction with the participant, caregiver, and case manager the Individual Treatment Plan. Coordinate needed medical services, such as; toileting, bathing, mobility assistance, transferring, and other cares as needed. Monitor MD orders. Provide education to center staff, participants and caregivers on health issues. Provide supervision to designated staff and volunteers. Accountable for delegation of nursing assignments. Supervises clinical students. Assist with staff development through in-services. Maintains accountability in compliance with regulations in clinical records. Assist the Director as needed. May drive participant to and from center. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to respond to participant health care needs and make appropriate referrals. Ability to provide/develop health education to participants, families and staff. Ability to provide/develop therapeutic activities in conjunction with the Activity Coordinator. Ability to comply with regulatory governing bodies. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral form. Ability to develop/maintain relationships with the medical community. Ability to maintain professionalism in emergency situations. Ability to lift 50# Ability to push, pull wheelchairs, use gait belts correctly, and support clients with walkers. Qualifications Valid Iowa RN License and gerontology certificate or experience apreferred. Completion of Dependent Adult Abuse Training in accordance with Iowa Law. CPR training Valid Iowa Driver’s license. Must carry current automobile insurance in accordance with AbbeHealth’s policies.
