Registered Nurse – Addictions Medicine Casual Thunder Bay Site One of a network of provincial community health centers, the NorWest Community Health Centers is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services. The Addictions Medicine Programs Nurse (RN), as a valuable member of the NorWest Community Health Centres teams, is charged with providing care to clients living with addiction within an interdisciplinary model. The approach to care is strengths-based and rooted in evidence-based practice and practice-based evidence. This position supports the HART Hub, Kwae Kii Win (KKW) Managed Alcohol Program, and the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic. The position has a competitive salary and an option to join Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). The hourly range for this position is $39.582 to $45.707. We do not use AI to screen resumes. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized university Licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment, physical assessments, and treatment measures. Proven experience working in a combination of hospital, community settings and/or public health, and addictions settings and ability to implement participant driven programs. Excellent interpersonal, communication and group facilitation skills. Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community-based and addictions care. Additional experience and learning specific to mental health, addictions, suboxone and sublocade-online course required upon hire. Knowledge and understanding of community resources. Ability to work independently and collaborating in a multidisciplinary setting. Respect for the perspective, experience and diversity of community members, clients, and staff. Values and experience in harm reduction service delivery and client care. Will practice reflective practice and quality assurance as directed by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
