Your future role at a glance Location: Pensacola, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Department: Pre Surgery Schedule: Day | PRN How you'll make an impact in this role Evaluate clinical reports and patient acuity against facility bed availability to assign appropriate levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing units and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Facilitate direct communication between requesting and specialty physicians, transmitting critical clinical documentation to receiving units and maintaining complete medical/legal records for statistical and process improvement purposes. Initiate early care management by coordinating pre-registration, verifying insurance coverage, and educating admitting physicians on procedural and financial impacts tied to managed care policies. Build strategic relationships with external referral sources, track satisfaction and access metrics to drive quality improvement, and deliver cross-departmental training on intake procedures What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursingor current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior tohire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
