Responsibilities:

2 PERMANENT PART TIME ROLE (8 SHIFTS A FORTNIGHT)

Located in the heart of the Como community, Aegis Balmoral provides high quality care services in a secure and friendly living environment. Caring for up to 214 residents, this modern purpose-built Facility supports our Residents every need and enables choices in daily living activities. We are seeking Registered Nurses who are passionate about providing exceptional care to our residents, in this role you will use your knowledgeable clinical skills to deliver personalised care.

You should be an empathetic person who possesses the following qualities:

  • A commitment and genuine passion for Aged Care.
  • An ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor both unregulated care workers, care, and lifestyle staff.

Within this role you will be a champion of high quality, safe and effective nursing that aligns with the resident preference and best practice by:

  • Undertaking clinical, social and self-care assessments.
  • Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
  • Support residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns.

You will be responsible for compliance:

  • Ensuring all care documentations are completed with the appropriate strategies implemented.
  • Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting.

Your role within the team would involve:

  • Supporting, coaching, monitoring, and mentoring the unregulated care workers.
  • Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and clinical expertise to the care team.
