Are you a Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to work in a fast paced clinical setting? The Registered Nurse Cardiac Navigator is a valued member of the Red Deer Diagnostic Cardiology team and responsible for crucial cardiac referral work within the Central Zone. With minimal supervision, the Cardiac Navigator utilizes highly-developed administrative, organizational and leadership skills, while problem-solving and promoting excellence in nursing practice. With in-depth knowledge, advanced judgment, and clinical experience in a Cardiology, the RN assists in providing solutions for complex health-care issues at all levels of care. The Cardiac Navigator will promote the use of evidence based practice, provide expert support and consultation, and expert facilitation of patient case management within Central Zone. The position will report to the Unit Manager of Diagnostic Cardiology working within the Diagnostic Cardiology department of the Red Deer Regional Hospital. You will provide safe, quality client-and-family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Red Deer is Alberta’s third largest city with a population of 100,418 and is located along the QEII highway between Calgary and Edmonton. Some of the amenities within the city of Red Deer include the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, as well as the Sunnybrook Farm Museum, Fort Normandeau, the Kerry Wood Nature Centre, and the Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery. There are also several multi-use recreational centers including the Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dave Community Centre and Michener Aquatic Centre, great for families of all ages.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
