Our Derwent and Shipley Lodge Services are CQC registered nursing services, where we support individuals on the road to recovery. We provide a welcoming, clean and comfortable environment with facilities that support recovery and independence. We support people in the service to achieve their personal goals of recovery by promoting personal responsibility and self-confidence to access mainstream resources and a socially inclusive lifestyle.

SOME OF THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

• A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC validation completed.
• I adhere to NMC code of conduct and professional practices and maintain registration with NMC.
• I have relevant experience of working with mental health needs with sound clinical reasoning skills.
• I have working knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the ability to recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health.
• I have working knowledge and understanding of current legislation, such as the Mental Health Act, DoLS and the Mental Capacity Act.
• I am able to deliver a range of treatments /interventions in a person-centered and non-judgmental manner.
• I am able to demonstrate flexibility, creativity and positive risk taking when developing support packages/care plans.
