Job Title: Nurse – Night Shift
Location: Onsite at Turning Point SOC
Hours: Full-Time, Night Shift
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a dedicated Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our night shift team. In this essential role, you will assess and monitor the behavioral and physical health of patients, administer medications, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members. Your clinical expertise and compassionate care will help our patients take critical steps toward healing and sobriety.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (required).
  • CPR certification (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (required); behavioral health or substance use experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic technical and computer proficiency for documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of patients upon admission and throughout treatment.
  • Conduct medical screenings to determine appropriateness for admission.
  • Administer detox medications as ordered and assess effectiveness, including CIWA/COWS assessments.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to communicate patient updates and care plans.
  • Provide education to patients on the disease of addiction and recovery process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
  • Participate in a supervisory or leadership role as needed.
