QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse Division 1
  • Current practicing certificate with the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency)
  • Post graduate evidence of formal education
  • Demonstrated ongoing education and personal development.

SKILLS

  • Extensive experience working with persons living with dementia
  • Considerable length of demonstrated experience in pain management, palliative care
  • Experience in pain management, palliative care
  • Ability to mentor staff, and act as a resource in regards to clinical issues
  • Ability to maintain clinical requirements by checking charts, care plans
  • The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment
  • The ability to work with frail and/or confused elders and their families within the Accreditation Standards and funding guidelines
  • The ability to accept and give direction and to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with strong experience to support the Unit Manager and staff of the designated areas in the provision of quality outcomes for frail elderly persons. The position will support, implement and oversee the care process, i.e. Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of resident’s clinical care, utilizing a holistic approach and refer to GMRS any areas of concern related to clinical matters.
