POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse in Oncology/Blood Transfusion Clinic practices at a high level of autonomy and accountability in collaboration with oncologists, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide a continuum of patient care from prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, education, follow-up, palliation, bereavement and survivorship. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation.
