Responsibilities

Mt Waverly Private Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our supportive and friendly team.
We are looking for a Nurse to take on the role of the Cancer Care Navigator and who has extensive experience in looking after people with cancer. The role is patient centred and supports newly diagnosed cancer patients from diagnosis through the cancer pathway. Understanding and navigating the complex world of cancer treatment can be overwhelming for patients.
The role is personalised to the patient’s needs, identifies what matters to patients, psychosocial support, support decision making during cancer treatment; provides information about cancer treatment and wellbeing.
The Cancer Care Navigator is a central point for the patient throughout all treatment phases eg surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and transition to survivorship care needs. And they work alongside the clinical team.
