QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 year post-graduate experience in a surgical ward.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Current Police Check, Working With Children Check, and relevant immunisations
  • 2 x Referee reports (12 months in date)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care to patients before and after surgery. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal recovery outcomes and provide compassionate support to patients and their families.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient recovery.
  • Assist surgeons and theatre staff during procedures when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
