This single level residential aged care centre is surrounded by gardens and throughout the centre there is plenty of natural light. Offering all levels of care including short term respite care, it is a lively centre with a strong sense of community, clean fresh rooms and extensive lifestyle programs to cater to a range of individual preferences. No sponsorship positions are available at this time. We are looking for Registered Nurse on a Casual basis to work in our residential aged care centre. It would be great if you were flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, e.g. morning, afternoon, night, weekend, public holiday. ABOUT THE ROLE In the role of Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical supervision and be responsible for coordinating the delivery of safe, effective and individualised care to our care recipients and their families (including managing staff and physical resources) and assisting residents to lead an active and meaningful life as independently as possible in keeping with the Salvation Army's Mission, Vision and Values. As a Registered Nurse with the Salvation Army Aged Care you will: Complete relevant documentation in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care needs of residents. Maintain good clinical records and accurate documentation to ensure legal adequacy and the completion of AN-ACC requirements. Maintain appropriate ordering, management and administration of medications in accordance with policy and procedures. Comply with the conditions, amendments and regulations of related acts e.g. Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1996. Liaise with doctors and other health professionals and follow directions for administration of medications and treatments in accordance with legislative guidelines. Complete the necessary reports, Care Plans and other documentation required.
